STORAGE:

We recommend storing your hat in our hat box or place where it will not be crushed, and stuff the crown with tissue paper so that the brim is supported, so that the weight of the hat does not distort the brim over time. This will keep your hat clean and preserve its shape.

CARE:

Using garment steamer, gently steam both sides of the brim while rotating your hat. If you don’t have a steamer, you can use the steam from an iron. Please do not apply the actual iron to the hat – the steam will be enough to soften the hat so you can mould the brim flat.  Apply pressure around the brim to achieve an even, flat brim. Steam the inside of crown back into original shape. Mould and shape your hat with hands while wool is still warm and damp. Lightly steam the exterior of hat one final time to finish and remedy any imperfections in wool. Leave your hat to dry on a flat surface. For a softer hat, steam for 30 – 60 seconds.  

Hat can be cleaned with a soft brush, damp cloth or wool brush for wool styles hat. Some specialist dry cleaners may also be able to clean your hat for you. Use a lint roller or double-sided tape to remove any excess dirt or hair.
